Mari + Patrick : renewed their vows at Lorien Hotel in Old Town

We honestly couldn’t have asked for a better couple to be our last wedding of the season at the Lorien in Old Town Alexandria. Mari and Patrick are the sweetest people you could ever meet and they’ve been married for 5 years. They renewed their vows. Isn’t that the sweetest? They wanted to have a party with their family and celebrate their marriage. I think their renewal expressed the meaning of what true love really is and we were beyond touched by the intimacy and closeness of being surrounded by their family and to witness their celebration with them. Perfect!

Lisa + Tony: Old Town Alexandria Engagement Session

Lisa and Tony hung out with me the other night in Old Town Alexandria for their engagement session. We had a blast despite how muggy it was these two never complained. Tony took me to the recently renovated tunnel, very cool and I will admit I have gone back to this location since then.

I love that so many of my couples live in Old Town and now that my studio is there I really get to venture out into the city a lot more. I am still trying to talk Chris into giving up our backyard and moving up here. I love the history here.

Rachel + Ben are getting married!

Wow my couples have been blowing me away this year and Rachel and Ben are no exception! We had a great session in Old Town Alexandria on Sunday. I really enjoyed learning more about these two. They shared some great stories about how they met and dated. I really felt the connection from these two. I can’t wait to see you both in June.

Keisha + James

March 12, 2009 – 5:43 pm

Keisha and James meet me Monday for their session in Old Town Alexandria. We had a great evening getting to know each other a little better. I actually have already spent a day with Keisha making a special present for James for Valentine’s Day. Monday was just a chance to know James a little better before the big day at the end of this month. We had a lot of fun walking around and watching Keisha in those shoes gave me a new respect of high heels. When you’re 6 foot you just don’t get to wear cute shoes like that often, ok never! Next time I see these two it will be in Florida at Fisher Island. I am excited to start the season again after such a big break! I know the wedding is going to be amazing! Just a few of the highlights from this session.

Christy and Phil’s (Tank) Engagement session

It’s been a nice long winter break but I couldn’t have asked for a better day to start the season! The skies aren’t perfect but the temps are! I meet up with Christy, Phil and their dog Tank in Old Town Alexandria on Saturday. Christy and Phil rocked out their session! Below are some of my favorites. Mary and Nigel’s E-session

Mary and Nigel came to town a little early before their wedding on Saturday. They asked me to squeeze their session in before the big day. I was more then thrilled to get to spend a little more time with these two before their big day. Engagement sessions are a lot of fun and gives me an idea of what the couple wants as far as images. I think we both really get to know each other a lot better. Mary and Nigel decided on Old Town and had a wonderful session and made it out right before the thunderstorm. Tersha, Mom and Puppy Session

Tersha contacting me asking if I was up to doing a session with her Mother who was visiting from South Africa and her little puppy Eva. As I gear up to bring a new puppy into our home I was very interested in Tersha’s puppy. She was so well behaved and I learned that Tersha had done 2 different puppy obedience classes and that she ran daily with the Eva. Erl joined me for the session and we enjoyed getting to hear about living in South Africa and more about Eva and Tersha. Here are the highlights

K and V’s Engagement Session

June 30, 2008 – 6:32 am

K and V were a blast the other night in Old Town Alexandria. Old Town is a great location for an engagment session, there are alleys, storefronts, waterfront, boats and even people’s houses that make awesome drops. I love the little park (inside story as we went hunting for it). The door is just amazing and one of my favorite parts of this location. They were up for all my ideas and I enjoyed getting to know these two just a little better. Their first date was actually here and they hung out together on the water. How romantic!! I am very excited to see them again for their 2 day ceremony. I know the wedding is going to be just perfect. Here are some highlights from the session.
