Laurie + David : Lansdowne Resort Wedding

To think I stopped posting on our blog right before I shared one of my wedding favorite weekends…shame on me!! So to put me back on track and the blog I’ll start with Laurie and David who were a pleasure to photograph. They were married at the St Robert Bellarmine Chapel with a fabulous detailed full reception at Lansdowne Resort. It was wonderful to see these two enjoying their wedding day. Don’t get me wrong I’m not couples don’t enjoy their day but Laurie really, really enjoyed it!! She enjoyed it so much you couldn’t help but to smile and be a part of her happiness. Now I don’t want to leave out David but I just don’t think he could compare to her excitement but you could tell he was enjoying it with her. This wedding had it all, a Muppet song (somone’s getting married), amazing details from Laurie, family oh such amazing family ;), friends and tradition (love a tea ceremony) and it was nothing but a honor to be there! Megan + Tim : Chesapeake Bay Beach Club Wedding

Nikia + Andre : married AVAM wedding

When Nikia and Andre told me that they had booked the American Visionary Arts Museum for their wedding and reception, I immediately wanted to shoot their wedding. I have worked there before and it is a wonderful venue, offering so many unique places for portraits, as well as a stunning backdrop for the wedding events. I was also thrilled when they revealed in our meeting that they were expecting a baby, and that I would get to meet him at the wedding! And what an adorable little man he turned out to be!

Nikia and Andre hired Bellwether Events and decided on a Willy Wonka (the original movie version) themed wedding. Nikia and Andre wed under an arch covered in 35mm and 8mm film, a literal interpretation of their movie theme. When they exchanged their very personal vows, there was not a dry eye in the house.

I could go on and on about the details at their reception. The amazing half-wedding cake, the movie quotes, the candy and chocolate bar, and the 3D menu card. You could hear the guests chatting about how stunning and great the wedding was. It was an incredibly original and colorful and wonderful wedding and I was so thrilled to be a part of it. Congratulations to Nikia, Andre and little Phoenix!

Kerry + Chris : Married River Farm Wedding

Kerry and Chris had a stunning day for a VA garden wedding at River Farm. These two have a pretty unique story of how they meet. They are one of the few successful office romances out there that have managed to live, date, and work together. Melissa + Dennis : Tregaron Mansion Wedding Photographer

Melissa and Dennis were married on 9/12 at the Blessed Sacrament in DC and the beautiful reception followed at Tregaron Mansion. There are clients that book you that you don’t get to see again and this is one of them. They were out of the country and I am sad I didn’t get to hang out with the both of them more before their big day and heck even after! Melissa is the kind of girl you know could be your friend. I had a blast with the both of them and sad they will be out of the country for the next two years. But that being said I am also happy they will be together during that time and I can’t wait to hear from them when they return. So enough about me and how much I loved them both here are some of their fab wedding highlights. Congrats you two and thanks so much for the frame for the studio.
