Lisa + Jon : Whitehall Manor Wedding

Lisa and Jon were married at Whitehall Manor on a beautiful yet stormy Sunday. I’ll admit I think everyone worried what the weather would pass. As Jon arrived that afternoon a big storm rolled in and forced us all to take shelter inside. Lisa arrived shortly after while it was still raining outside. But the storm didn’t ruin the day as it past pretty quickly and cooled things down which allowed these two to have a stunning Whitehall Manor ceremony outside. Although they lost power and it was never restored, there was still dancing, laughter, joy and tears of happiness. One of Lisa’s sisters gave a very emotional maid of honor speech and this was a wedding to be remembered forever.

Lisa and Jon have dated a very long time before they were married and it was great to see such love and respect for each other. As they take their next journey in life to a new home and a new state, we wish them a lifetime of happiness!

Kelly + Nate : Whitehall-Manor Wedding

Kelly and Nate were married at Whitehall Manor. This is definitely one of our favorite weddings this year. You can’t help but to feel like were part of their family. Kelly and Nate have such endearing personalities and just enjoy life sprinkled with laughter. It was a wedding we didn’t want to end and were so happy to be a part of their wedding day.

Jamie + Alec’s post wedding session in Eastern Market DC

We feel the importance of a post wedding or trash the dress session is that our images incorporate the couple in some way. This can be achieved by the meaningful location or in this case it was also about things that they both love. Of course one of the positive things about these are that we do not have the same time limits as we could or would have on the wedding day. It’s really about having fun and killer images!

Jamie and Alec totally rocked their post wedding session at Eastern Market in DC. These two are extremely laid back and a lot of fun to be around and I’m lucky that they were able to tolerate the heat and crowds at the market that day. I have more then a few images from this session that I am in love with but I figure I better not share every single one as we are more then excited to finally share them. I want to give a shout out to Janice from Bellwether Events who is a super talented planner in the DC area who helped assist this session and shared her extremely creative mine (seriously she blows me away with her ideas). I had an amazing night with Lauren and Tom; at the last minute we decided to just meet up and enjoy the first non humid night in the DC area in sometime. It was magical and the light was golden. Loved it and best of all my favorite VA wine vineyard let us use their grounds for their session! So the stars were aligned for this session. Kelly and Drew had a beautiful wedding full of laughter and tears of joy at the Hyatt Regency Reston. These two are entertaining to hang out with and we felt more like old friends then the peeps with the cameras. There was lots of clowning around during formals and they even had a stalker that seemed to have nothing better to do with his day but attempt to assist for all the before and after ceremony pictures.

Kelly and Drew complete each other and it’s pretty neat that somehow through all the people in this world they were able to find each other.

Patricia + Josh : DC engagement

Patricia and Josh are a pretty cool couple and I feel lucky to have meet these two. We have been attempting to schedule their DC engagement session for sometime now and I don’t think any of us wanted to shoot in the DC humidity but somethings are outside of your control. All you can do is embrace it and these two plus their dog Heidi did just that. Heidi is a pretty lucky dog and I think she knows it. They rescued this cutie not so long ago. She really loves her owners and to be honest didn’t want anything to do with us. We just let her do her thing and looking at all the proofs you could see how much she loves these two and is always looking at them for direction and comfort. Below are some are a few to share. Can’t wait till October!

Sarah + West : Married in Old Town Alexandria

Sarah and West were married in June on the Potomac River followed up by the Reception at Hilton in Old Town Alexandria. Despite the heat these two had the perfect location for a intimate wedding. One of our most favorite parts of the wedding is the moments between Father and Daughter. I think this wedding defiantly had the emotion (and some anxiety) but it was all let go of on the dance floor that night. It was one of the weddings I was looking forward to and enjoyed seeing some old faces and new ones! Congrats to you both!
