I meet Kat and Marsh the other Sunday at Harpers Ferry for their engagement session. These two are getting married next year and I can’t wait for their fall wedding. Harpers Ferry makes for such a cute backdrop and loved hanging out with these two and exploring the town.
I meet Ann and Chris the other night for their engagement session at the Manassas Battlefield. The light was just perfect! I really had a great time getting to know these two a little better before their big day in November. While editing the images I could only think of one thing that became obvious from hanging out with them they appear to be best friends. Love it!
I had the pleasure to hang out with these two cuties the other night in DC. Here’s some highlights from our DC engagement session.
I love when my clients challenge me with a new location. I get an excuse to check out a place on my list for a long time the National Harbor. Plus it’s right over the bridge! It was such a beautiful night too for a session. Summer can be such a challenge in DC. One day we have a great breeze, the next we are blessed with DC humity. Of course as we move into the fall months I am sure I will be missing the summer nights. This night I hung out with these two was perfect. The lighting was nice and golden (my favorite). We had a blast hanging out and getting some cute backdrops. Ending with my favorite reward of all icecream. I can’t wait to see these two next year when they tie the knot. Enjoy!
Maria and Dan hung out with me early Sunday morning for their engagement session. I must admit every time I hang out with Maria it is beyond hot. Poor guys. So since then I have shot their wedding so here are some quick picks from their session so I can get their wedding done!
Lauren and Brian had their engagement Session in Old Town Alexandria the other night. We even stopped in Hotel Monaco for a couple of images in their amazing hotel. Who doesn’t love the way they decorate! The hotel is meaningful to this couple and why we made sure it was on our route for their session. Below are some of the highlights from the session. My studio mate Sarah hung out with me the other night during one of my sessions and took this of me. Figured I would share, Sarah is awesome!
And my canvas for above the mantel in the new studio has arrived. It’s huge! Crappy iPhone picture but still wanted to share. The new studio has been such an amazing process. It’s been very hard to pick out images to display. It’s exciting to say the least to see your work displayed so big.
Susanna and Michael are actually married but they didn’t get a chance to schedule their engagement session before their April wedding at Collingwood Museum and Top of the Town. What better location to have an engagement session then Glen Echo Park. Awesome backdrop for this extremely fun couple. They had me in stitches the whole time and I will admit their outfits went with everything in the park. They even let me practice a shot I had been wanting for sometime now. Thanks guys you know I love you both dearly and it was great to see you both again!
Lisa and Tony hung out with me the other night in Old Town Alexandria for their engagement session. We had a blast despite how muggy it was these two never complained. Tony took me to the recently renovated tunnel, very cool and I will admit I have gone back to this location since then.
I love that so many of my couples live in Old Town and now that my studio is there I really get to venture out into the city a lot more. I am still trying to talk Chris into giving up our backyard and moving up here. I love the history here.

Megan and Brian finally got their perfect day for their engagement pictures. I really started to feel bad that Mother nature wasn’t on our side. But let me tell you this nights weather was beyond perfect and I don’t think any of us could have asked for a better night. We walked around Old Town Alexandria and got some great stuff. They are my Halloween wedding and I am so excited and can’t wait. See you both soon.
