I can’t think of a better way to start off the New Year of us then to jump right back into shooting and hang out with these two cuties…we had a blast even though it’s been just a little too cold for DC lately. Kate and Nick bared the elements and rocked out their engagement session. I am sad I won’t be at the wedding but I know she’ll send me some images. I secretly want to move with them as Nick talked about the average temps! Congrats you two. You guys are beyond perfect for each other.
These two are such troopers with such perfect personalities! I loved hanging out in DC with Sarah and Jillian the other day for their DC engagement session. I know we were so cold and Sarah shared her gloves with me and begged Jillian to take off his jacket for some pictures. Overall it was still perfect and I am really looking forward to spending the day with them again next year.
Rebecca and Shawn had their engagement session at Mt. Vernon the other day. It was pretty memorable for Chris and myself not only was it a gorgeous day but we were chased off the grounds by security! Always adds to the delight of getting to know our couples. I can’t wait to see them again in March!
I had the pleasure to hang out with these two on Sunday and wow the weather was perfect. Georgetown cupcake was part of the plan but the line sadly was too long. We did end the session at The Tombs restaurant where Molly and Matt enjoyed a beer. But I think it all worked out there were still lots of leaves on the trees and the weather! Matt was a groomsmen at Shannon and Seth’s wedding and it was great to get to know them a little better. They are getting married next July and I wish them both the best! The Exorist stairs:
I meet Kat and Marsh the other Sunday at Harpers Ferry for their engagement session. These two are getting married next year and I can’t wait for their fall wedding. Harpers Ferry makes for such a cute backdrop and loved hanging out with these two and exploring the town.
I meet Ann and Chris the other night for their engagement session at the Manassas Battlefield. The light was just perfect! I really had a great time getting to know these two a little better before their big day in November. While editing the images I could only think of one thing that became obvious from hanging out with them they appear to be best friends. Love it!

I love when my clients challenge me with a new location. I get an excuse to check out a place on my list for a long time the National Harbor. Plus it’s right over the bridge! It was such a beautiful night too for a session. Summer can be such a challenge in DC. One day we have a great breeze, the next we are blessed with DC humity. Of course as we move into the fall months I am sure I will be missing the summer nights. This night I hung out with these two was perfect. The lighting was nice and golden (my favorite). We had a blast hanging out and getting some cute backdrops. Ending with my favorite reward of all icecream. I can’t wait to see these two next year when they tie the knot. Enjoy!
Maria and Dan hung out with me early Sunday morning for their engagement session. I must admit every time I hang out with Maria it is beyond hot. Poor guys. So since then I have shot their wedding so here are some quick picks from their session so I can get their wedding done!
Lauren and Brian had their engagement Session in Old Town Alexandria the other night. We even stopped in Hotel Monaco for a couple of images in their amazing hotel. Who doesn’t love the way they decorate! The hotel is meaningful to this couple and why we made sure it was on our route for their session. Below are some of the highlights from the session.
