Rae + Will : Carnegie Institution Wedding

Rae and Will had a beautiful Georgetown wedding on the 16th of January. The ceremony was at the gorgeous Holly Trinity DC church. They really lucked out and had beautiful warm weather no one would expect in January. After walking around historic Georgetown for photos they headed over to the Carnegie Institution of Science where the guests danced the night away. What a great way to start our 2010 season!

Kate + Matt : Decatur wedding photographer

October 27, 2009 – 3:37 pm

Kate and Matt were married on 9/26 which ended up being a very raining day but these two totally took it in stride! Plus the Stephen Decatur House is a great backdrop for formals and these guys rocked it. We didn’t see any ghosts but it wasn’t from our lack of looking, I am sure it was because we were all so loud. Everyone danced the night away but by far Matt’s Dad stole the dance floor. I am still waiting to hear how he felt the next day. I am sure it was all worth it as it was a beautiful wedding and you can see the love between Kate and Matt. Matt barely took his eyes off Kate the whole night and she was stunning. Chris and I enjoyed being part of these two’s special day and wish you guys a lifetime of happiness.

Melissa + Dennis : Tregaron Mansion Wedding Photographer

Melissa and Dennis were married on 9/12 at the Blessed Sacrament in DC and the beautiful reception followed at Tregaron Mansion. There are clients that book you that you don’t get to see again and this is one of them. They were out of the country and I am sad I didn’t get to hang out with the both of them more before their big day and heck even after! Melissa is the kind of girl you know could be your friend. I had a blast with the both of them and sad they will be out of the country for the next two years. But that being said I am also happy they will be together during that time and I can’t wait to hear from them when they return. So enough about me and how much I loved them both here are some of their fab wedding highlights. Congrats you two and thanks so much for the frame for the studio. Kate + Michael : Holy Rosary and Hotel Monaco DC wedding

June 22, 2009 – 4:10 pm

Kate and Michael were married on June 6th at Holy Rosary Church and the reception followed at the fab Hotel Monaco in DC. The ceremony was performed by Kate’s family priest and was such a lovely touch to hear all the history of Kate as she grew up. The ceremony was just perfect, the church is beyond beautiful. The couple had a rickshaw pull them away from the church as the guest saluted them with clappers and cow bells. Love it! Reception and cocktail hour followed at Monaco and the backdrop of this location is beyond beautiful. Kate and Michael choose to see each other before hand and grab some formals in the halls of the hotel. There is too much I love about Monaco I need to hire their designers even their carpets are amazing. Below are a few of the highlights, enjoy and congrats you two!

Katie + Song

May 5, 2009 – 6:59 am

Katie and Song were married in DC at the Shrine of the Blessed Sacrament on the 25th of April. Their reception followed with tons of live music and dancing thanks to the band Entertainment Exchange and they rocked the Hilton in Rockville. This band was awesome and even got Song to sing to Katie. I was very impressed and so were their family and friends. They didn’t get the typical April weather DC is known for but they were all still game to play around for formals. Katie found a great little location between the ceremony and reception at the Mccrillis Gardens in Bethesda. We had the little park all to ourselves. These two are really such an amazing couple. I loved hearing the toasts, they were differently one of the bests and gave me such insight to these two. Below are the highlights, enjoy and congrats to you both.

Susanna + Michael : Collingwood Museum and Top of the Town Wedding

Susanna and Michael met each other in a library and decided to get married at the library of Collingwood Museum. They survived a long distance relationship and I was wowed by the love between these two is just honestly amazing. During formals they had me cracking up and thinking wow I have been married a long time. The passion and love was just great to be around. The ceremony was perfect and had so many meaningful touches. The couple provided me with plenty of time for formals and we even snuck into DC and were able to get some quick images at FDR Memorial. The reception was held at Top of the Town. I love April weddings the grass is green and so much is in bloom! The grounds at Collingwood are just beautiful. Top of the Town has the amazing city backdrop that the wedding guests just love. Even though I have lived in Northern Virginia my whole life I still love to look at the city at night. Most of the time you forget just how beautiful it is here. Sarah-Jane and Greg’s wedding 9/27/08

I love being a DC wedding photographer and shooting at amazing locations with great couples like Sarah-Jane and Greg. They were married on 9/27/08, their ceremony was at Dahlgren Chapel and the reception was at The Washington Club off of Dupoint Circle. I really thought these two were going to break my no rain streak. But to my surprise it only rained on the way up to the church for Sarah-Jane and then the rest of the day was perfect! Congrats and I hope you two are enjoying your two weeks in Greece.

Mary and Nigel’s Wedding 7/26/08

Mary and Nigel were married at Tregaron WIS, in DC which is one of the most beautiful locations for a wedding. It held a lot of memories for Nigel and a lot of his guests since they attended school there. The wedding held both American and Chinese tradition and was really beautiful to document. We really enjoyed all the guests and family at the wedding! Congrats you two.

Maureen and Jason’s Wedding 7/19/08

Maureen and Jason were married on the 19th it was such a beautiful Washington DC wedding. I don’t think anyone that was in the wedding party would deny that it was an extremely hot day. I even got a very nice letter from one of the groomsmen (Chris) making sure that our staff was ok and that I wasn’t too burnt But everyone was such a trooper as we ran around DC to get some shots in front of the monuments. The ceremony was at The Netherlands Carillon the view from that location of DC is beautiful and is right next to Arlington Cemetary. The theme of DC was carried on to the reception location Top of the Town. One of my favorite locations for a reception. Watching the guest enjoying the sunset is priceless. Here are just some of our favorites from the wedding.
