Featured in Express!

Two of my brides were featured in Express today. They interviewed Daphne about her boudoir session with me. They used an image from Crystal and Dan’s trash the dress session (the one on the right of them in the river!). I didn’t get into the city today to get a copy but Crystal sent me the PDF. They interviewed a lot of amazing photographers for this article and it’s pretty awesome to have my image featured.

Weight Loss

I have started the terrible diet.  But when you lose weight it is so worth it!  So this time I am sticking to the plan.  Personally I am sick of gaining 2 pounds after losing 2.  It feels like I have been trying to get back on the bandwagon for sometime now.  This weekend we are going with some friends to go snowboarding and tubing.  So I really hope I can stay on the plan.  Last weekend with 2 parties was a big challenge.  I will try to post my success and lack of loses.  But week one I am happy to report a lose of 5.6!!!!  I know I can’t be lucky enough to get that again next Sunday but at least I lost my trip to Arizona gain.

I have 17.2 more to go to reach my goal  Feel free to share your success to me.  It’s always great to know you aren’t alone!

Susie and David Chinatown Engagement Session

Susie and David bared the elements with me and had an awesome engagement session in Chinatown.  These two have such great personalites and really feed off of each other.  David is the shy one but he came out of his shell by the end of the session.  I really appreciate these two for keeping the session regardless of how cold and windy it was.  I loved the backdrop of Chinatown.  Congrats!

My trip to Arizona

I finally finding a second to blog about going to AZ the beginning of this month.  It was a wonderful break and I came back refreshed and full of ideas about my business and photography in general.  It didn’t hurt that it was in the 70’s everyday with big blue skies!  I enjoyed the Imaging USA tradeshow, the classes through Digital Wedding Forum, and got to do a little site seeing.  Below are just a few of the sites I got to see.  I will admit I don’t think I would want to leave there but I can see visiting again in the winter.

Lizzie and Kaitan’s Wedding 1/3/09

Lizzie and Kaitan were married on 1/3/09 at the United States Naval Academy and the reception was held at the Loews Annapolis Hotel.  They definitely started 2009 with a bang for us.  This wedding was elegant and full of love!  Everything was just perfect and we loved all the extra touches.  The horse and buggy ride was just perfect for this winter wedding.  I especially enjoyed riding in the trolleys!  It was such a fabulous wedding!  Congrats you two and thanks for letting us be a part of your special day.

Happy New Years

I will be the first to admit I have slacked on my blog.  I have been enjoying time with my husband, my kids, and the family over the holidays.  January has already started off with a bang.  We had a fabulous wedding on the 3rd in Annapolis with Lizzie and Kaitan. I plan to share that shortly. Since then I have been spending almost every night having client meetings.  Awesome! I leave Thursday night with my friend Jamie to Arizona till the 16th for some sight seeing and then to hang out and learn with a bunch of other wedding photographers.  I am excited!  I will be responding to emails and calls.

I promise to post my boudoir special since I have gotten several inquires.  Shoot me an email if you are interested.  info@abrittonphotography.com

As far as bookings for 2009, we are almost full and it’s only January!!!  I can’t wait to work with all the new couples this year.

Alright I have never been one that is good at writing so let’s just get to it.  Below are just some highlights of my holidays.

It’s an ugly house but they made it all by themselves

Lauren and I baked cookies

I probably wouldn’t suggest eating all of them either. Thankfully my Mom made tons too.

Aaron made my Dad a gift and my Mom asked me to restore a picture of her with me and my brother as kids. They always love gifts you put effort into vs. buying them.

Chris got Rockband for the Wii, he let me sing for almost 2 hours. If you ever been around me I can’t carry a tune. He is so the man!

Grandma came up from Mississippi and this is all the grandkids and some of the spouses.

I helped Aaron with his Lego, I can’t remember how many pieces but I know how many hours it took us.

We went to the river house for New Years. I don’t want to talk about the drinks and how I had too many!! But we had a blast. The glasses are from 2000 but hey they work. This picture reminds me of when I was a kid. I would hang out with Michelle, our parents were friends. My brother and I spent probably every New Years together. Michelle was the youngest of us all. Now Lauren is the youngest of the 3 of them. She is just like her Mom and was such a blast to be around.

I look forward to another wonderful year!
